dc.description.abstractBangladesh Labour Act, 2006 was promulgated on the 11th October, 2006 repealing 25 important Labour Laws after prolonged tripartite negotiations. The new law has introduced a good number of important items like retirement benefit, death benefit, appointment letter, enhancement of compensation for both death and permanent disability, introduction of provident fund for workers, punishment for sexual harassment etc.en_US
